AI is More Expensive than Humans

They feel the same about AI… “At scale, AI is too expensive”.
This surfaced after Microsoft canceled its Claude Code licenses because it was costing too much money.
And Uber spent their entire 2026 AI budget in the first 4 months of the year because their teams burned through too many tokens.
Enterprise AI is already very expensive in comparison to a chatbot, and when there is a cost to write code, check code, and debug code, that expense can quickly add up.
Analysts are optimistic and believe that as usage widens, the costs for everyone will go down.
So for now, we’ll just have to wait until enterprises are ready to foot the bill.
